A bronze sculpture of Veronica Micle, inaugurated in the Mihai Eminescu square in Chisinau
A bronze sculpture of Veronica Micle was inaugurated in the Mihai Eminescu square in the center of Chisinau. The work was made for three months by the famous artist, Veaceslav Jigliţchi and is a tribute to the great poet, Mesager reports.
"After three months of work, I think that today we can open this sculpture and let them socialize with each other these extraordinary gentlemen - the great poet Mihai Eminescu and his muse, Veronica Micle. We want Veronica Micle to be as close as possible to Mihai Eminescu ", said the mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban.
According to a press release of the Chisinau City Hall, the sources for the project were identified with the help of economic agents and of individuals.
