Over 340 thousand inhabitants on the left bank of the Nistru hold the citizenship of the Republic of Moldova / VIDEO /
A number of 341 thousand inhabitants of the Transnistrian region hold the citizenship of the Republic of Moldova, and 316 of them have biometric passports. Also, almost 25,000 citizens on the left bank of the Nistru have obtained Moldovan driving licenses in the last five years, according to official data.
According to extracts from the database of the Public Services Agency, it is found that 350,859 inhabitants living on the left bank of the Nistru and Bender municipality are listed in the State Register of Population, of which 341,682 hold the citizenship of the Republic of Moldova, including 316,548 hold passports of Moldovan citizens and 284,664 hold ID cards.
At the same time, according to the data from the State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs, there are 2268 economic agents from the Transnistrian region registered in the Republic of Moldova.
Likewise, there is an upward trend in the change of national model driving licenses. Thus, between January 2017 and March 2022, 24,977 permits were obtained issued by the competent authorities of the Republic of Moldova.
According to unofficial data, in 2018, 469 thousand citizens lived in the districts on the left bank of the Nistru.
