Over 700 victims of domestic violence reported so far this year
711 victims of domestic violence were registered in the first six months of this year. Most of them are women - 663. Among the victims are 27 children, IPN reports.
According to the Police, during the reference period, over 300 protection ordinances and over 2 thousand emergency restraining orders were issued by the Police. About 4 thousand family abusers were registered.
Police urge victims of domestic violence to report these cases to the forensic examiner to prove the body injuries caused.
Legal and psychological assistance can be obtained at the Shelter for Victims of Gender-Based Violence.
