Border police: Leuseni the most transited crossing point
Border police work at full capacity to ensure the safe passage of passengers. In this regard, two other crossings were opened for special means of transport, Raisa Novitchi, the press officer of the Border Police, told Radio Moldova.
" Leuseni crossing point remains a more requested point, but the border police together with the Customs Service are working at full capacity," Raisa Novitchi said.
Last night, the border police intervened to unblock several means of transport that skidded from the route.
"Border guards worked all night, both in the border area and at the checkpoints. In this sense, they unblocked several means of transport that skidded on the routes, especially in the localities from Ştefan Vodă and in the north of Moldova where it snowed abundantly but all roads are accessible ", said Raisa Noviţchi.
Several police crews are monitoring the situation on the roads in Moldova and are ready to intervene. Although roads are not blocked, ice still persists in some districts.
"In the districts of Anenii Noi, Ştefan Vodă, although anti-skid material was put on some parts of the road, ice still persists. In this context, we urge you to be careful in order to avoid unpleasant incidents. We advise drivers to equip their cars with the right tires and to drive at a low speed ", Cristina Crudu, the press officer of the General Inspectorate of Police, said for Radio Moldova.
In the last 24 hours, in the border crossing points, the flow of people constituted over 26 thousand crossings. 2,645 individual epidemiological records were completed. No one had symptoms of Covid-19 infection.
