Romania keeps the Republic of Moldova in the red zone

The Romanian authorities updated today the list of countries with high epidemiological risk, which enters into force on Sunday, November 28. According to the latest updates, the Republic of Moldova remains in the red zone.

According to the National Committee for Emergency Situations (CNSU) in Romania, all passengers arriving in Romania from countries in the green zone, countries that are not in the yellow or red zone, must not present a negative PCR test and will not enter in quarantine.

According to the new rules, the quarantine for those arriving in Romania from the red zone is 14 days, but if they do an RT PCR test and the result is negative, they can leave the quarantine on the tenth day. Passengers vaccinated in the EU are also exempted from quarantine.

Passengers arriving in Romania from yellow countries are exempted from quarantine if they are vaccinated (ten days since the booster) or have a negative COVID-19 PCR test.

The classification of countries, territories of epidemiological risk, according to the cumulative incidence rate at 14 days, is made in three categories as follows:

Green area - where the cumulative incidence rate of new cases of disease in the last 14 days per 1,000 inhabitants is less than or equal to 1.5;

Yellow zone - where the cumulative incidence rate of new cases of disease in the last 14 days per 1,000 inhabitants is between 1.5 and 3 per 1,000 inhabitants;

Red zone - where the cumulative incidence rate of new cases of disease in the last 14 days per 1,000 inhabitants is greater than or equal to 3 per 1,000 inhabitants.
