Moldova 1 TV joins the "We for Ukraine" marathon
We stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people! Moldova 1 TV joins the initiative of colleagues from Georgia and the Red Cross to organize a live marathon for Ukraine. "We for Ukraine", launched by 1TV from Georgia, is a marathon to collect donations for the Ukrainian people, Mesager reports.
Georgian public television, at the initiative of the European Broadcasting Union in collaboration with the Red Cross, is launching a marathon of charity and solidarity for the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian Public Broadcaster. The general manager of the Public Broadcaster „Teleradio-Moldova” Vlad Turcanu, also came with a message of support for the Georgian initiative.
"From Chisinau, we congratulate our Georgian colleagues on their initiative to run a marathon in support of Ukraine. In these dramatic days, my country has hosted tens of thousands of Ukrainians, refugees from the war. We are also with Ukraine, and we want the war to end as soon as possible, so that we can all return to our former lives. The Republic of Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine must support each other for better or worse. The two friendly countries can always count on our support. We remember the proverb: "There is strength in numbers." Good luck with your marathon and see you in better days! ”, said the general manager of the Public Broadcaster “ Teleradio-Moldova ” Vlad Ţurcanu.
Georgians are being urged by Georgian public television to donate money to accounts specially opened to support the Ukrainian people.
The event in Georgia will take place today, March 1, starting at 22:00, on the Georgian public television station.
