Euro 2020: Italy is the European champion

Italy defeated England in the tiebreaker, 3-2 after 1-1 at the end of the 120 minutes of play and won the European Championship.

England started the match perfectly at the "Wembley" stadium and managed to open the score after only two minutes, through Luke Shaw, who scored the fastest goal in the history of the European Championship finals.

After scoring the goal, England continued throughout the first half to control the game, but also to defend themselves compactly, without allowing Italy to create important chances at the goal of Jordan Pickford.

After 74 minutes, following yet another great corner, Leonardo Bonucci kicked the ball to the limit of Marco Verratti's reach, who just put it in the net.

The match was sent in overtime, and in the first half, the only great chance to score belonged to Italy in the 103rd minute, when Jordan Pickford came out inspired and rejected Emerson's excellent cross. After a short tussle with the defender, Andrea Belotti finally tucked the ball home.

Even in the second half of extra time, it was not possible to differentiate between the two teams, so they went to the tiebreaker.

Italy won 3-2 on the limelight and became European champion.
