Days of Romanian Film in Nisporeni

Just like last year, the Romanian Film Days (ZFR) continue in five other cities in the Republic of Moldova - Balti, Soroca, Nisporeni, Călăraşi and Cahul, where some of the films from the Chisinau selection are presented. On October 22-23, ZFR arrive in Nisporeni. The screenings will take place at the National House.

The event will open with a film dedicated to children. Thus, the young audience will be able to see "Străjerii Deltei" (2021), an adventure film made by Liviu Mărghidan. Several children spend their summer vacation in a camp in the Danube Delta, where they learn how to survive in the wild. One day, while cleaning the waters of the Delta from plastic bottles, they come across two poachers who are fishing illegally using an electric device, so now the children have an important mission.

From San Sebastian, where it was included in the New Directors competition section, comes "Morocco" (2021), the second feature film directed by Emanuel Pârvu. The film, which was also selected this year in the international competition at TIFF, follows the destinies of two lovers who end up in life and death situations, as a result of mistrust.

From the FOCUS Dorel Vişan section, on the occasion of the great actor's 85th birthday, "The Senator of Snails" (1995, directed by Mircea Daneliuc), a film that was part of the Cannes Festival competition, will be screened. Dorel Vişan plays a senator on a visit to a village, where he goes through comic events while taking advantage of the hospitality of the locals, while ignoring their major problems.

"Crai nou" (2021), director Alina Grigore's debut, focuses on a young woman struggling to pursue higher education and escape the violence of the men in her dysfunctional family. Last year, the film won the top prize, the Golden Shell, at the San Sebastian Festival.
