Moldovans settled in Spain will benefit from pensions
Moldovans settled in Spain will benefit from pensions. The Parliament ratified the Agreement in the field of social security between our country and the Kingdom of Spain, with the vote of 81 deputies.
The provisions of the agreement concern Moldovan citizens who worked in Spain, as well as Spanish citizens who were employed in our country. It is about employees, independent or seconded workers, the staff of international transport companies, diplomatic missions or consular offices. Beneficiaries will be able to receive old-age pensions, pensions and allowances for general disability or caused by work accidents or occupational diseases, as well as survivor's pensions.
The value of the pensions will be calculated proportionally, by each state, depending on the period of insurance carried out in its own territory.
The agreement in the field of social security between the Republic of Moldova and the Kingdom of Spain was signed on July 21, 2022. Until now, our country has concluded similar agreements with 16 states, and 14 of them are in force.
