How many Moldovan companies will export fruits and vegetables to the Russian Federation
More than 300 companies will be able to export fruits and vegetables to the Russian Federation, after the Russian Federal Agency for Food and Veterinary Safety "Rosselkhoznadzor" has expanded the list of companies with export rights, the Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, Ion Perju, told a press conference.
"Rosselkhoznadzor, the institution responsible for the entrance on the marketing of several companies, which is in permanent partnership with the Food Safety Agency, has accepted a list of 205 fruit and vegetable producers. In total, we will have 334 companies to export on the Russian Federation market,” said Ion Perju.
Vitalie Gorincioi, president of the Moldovan Fruit Producers and Exporters Association, stated that the lists of exporting companies were coordinated with the civil society, and the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) must verify the quality of the goods so that Moldovan products are not returned to the country.
"ANSA must control the quality of the goods because this is the face of the farmers. We request that all manufacturers that meet the quality requirements be published on the ANSA website, in order not to blame us for re-export. The production must be harmless. The production that starts from here must reach the Russian Federation in the same condition,” stated Vitalie Gorincioi.
ANSA Director General, Vladislav Cotici, said that the production of vegetable origin that will be exported to the Russian Federation must comply with the phytosanitary norms of the Eurasian Union and will be accompanied by the phytosanitary certificates issued by ANSA.
"I want to mention that ANSA is the guarantor of the quality of the products to be exported as well as of the products that are consumed at home. The product must have the same quality internally as the one to be exported,” said Vladislav Cotici.
TRM.MD recalls that yesterday, January 29, the president Igor Dodon announced on the extension of the list of companies entitled to export fruit to the Russian Federation in a post on his Facebook page.
