Goods worth 18 million lei were seized in January
The Crime Assets Recovery Agency within the NAC announces that, during the previous week, it applied seizures on shares, social capitals, constructions and lands in a total value of 18 million lei, informs Moldova 1.
These are goods of illicit origin that have been made unavailable in five criminal cases, based on corruption, fraud, influence peddling and excess of power. The information is contained in a press release issued by the National Anticorruption Center (NAC).
TRM.MD recalls that, only in the first month of the current year, the Agency for the Recovery of Criminal Assets applied seizure on illegally acquired goods, amounting to over 35 million lei, and in 2020, their value was estimated at about 1.5 billion.
