Economic cooperation between Moldova and the USA, discussed in Chisinau
Development of tourism and business environment and investments attraction are discussed in the 4th session of the Moldovan-American Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation. Officials set priorities and modalities for streamlining economic cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the United States, Radio Moldova reports.
"US is one of the main development partners of our country. Collaboration with the US is very important for Moldova. We appreciate the American support in the implementation of several projects related to the business environment, the IT sector and textile industry. The Government of the Republic of Moldova focuses its efforts on ensuring a favorable environment of development for entrepreneurs, for investments attraction and exports promotion as well as for infrastructure modernization”, said Vadim Brînzan, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure.
"We aim to address topics focused on the economy of the Republic of Moldova, transparency of decision making. The development of the business environment is a priority for the authorities, as well as the projects designed to attract investments in this regard. Also, the tourism potential of the Republic of Moldova is very good and needs to be further developed, ”said Daniel Mullaney, trade representative for Europe and the Middle East.
By the value of the invested capital, the US ranks sixth among the partner countries of the Republic of Moldova.
