In 2018, the customs brought higher revenues to the state budget compared to the previous year
The volume of revenues collected by the Customs Service to the state budget in 2018 amounts to 21.4 billion lei, thus registering an increase of over one billion lei as compared to 2017.
The largest share in the revenue structure, 67.1%, is coming from the VAT administration, followed by excise duties of 25.3% and customs duties, which have a contribution of 5.2%.
The biggest contributor to the state budget had the oil products sector, followed by the tobacco sector. The third position in the revenue structure is the consumer goods.
