More than 90 kilometres of road rehabilitated with European money will soon be put into operation

All road reconstruction projects have been unblocked, and works are currently taking place throughout the country. The statement was made today by the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Andrei Spînu. The official specified that for the next period over half a billion euros was identified from external partners for the construction and rehabilitation of roads. It is about the Criva-Bălţi, Soroca-Arioneşti-Otaci route and the Chişinău belt, according to Radio Moldova.

"Soon, we will put into operation more than 90 kilometres of road rehabilitated with European money. Some examples are Balti-Făleşti-Sculeni, Porumbria-Cimişlia. Chişinău-Orhei-Bălţi, the part of the road that makes the entrance to Sângerei, sector 1 of the Chişinău city belt, the Bahmut bypass road. There are only some of these roads. These works have been postponed for many years. We want to rehabilitate the 26 corridors at the national level, of high social importance", said Andrei Spînu.

The minister also said that starting in 2023, a road construction management system will be used for the first time to optimise the maintenance and repair works of national roads, which will select priority roads.
