The Republic of Moldova could sign a Free Trade Agreement with Egypt

By the end of this year, the Republic of Moldova could sign a free trade agreement with Egypt for Moldovan fruits, which will expand the country's export possibilities, says the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Vladimir Bolea, Radio Moldova reports.

"The Ministry of Agriculture is fully involved in the process of establishing new economic relations. On October 11, I, together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, are going to Egypt for a round of discussions in order to do everything possible so that by the end of the year we have signed the free trade agreement, which has a very high potential for the purchase of fruits from the Republic Moldova", said Vladimir Bolea.

Vladimir Bolea also said that currently there is a great opening on the Romanian market regarding the export of Moldovan products. According to the minister, over eight thousand tons of fruit were exported last spring, and most of them reached the Romanian market.
