New cross-border project for the wine industry
A new cross-border project for the wine industry was launched in Chisinau. It is about WINET "Trade and innovation", intended for countries in the Black Sea Basin region, reports Moldova 1 TV.
Among the main goals of the project are: boosting opportunities in cross-border trade and modernization of the wine sector. It also involves the creation of an online communications platform to attract relevant actors from 3 member countries: Moldova, Romania and Bulgaria.
"What this platform is really about - a tool for direct communication and promotion, offering the possibility of winemakers from all three countries to increase their visibility, to increase their promotion and, in fact, to boost cross-border trade. The project involves a minimum number of 147 beneficiaries from all 3 countries”, said Rodica Verbeniuc, director of the Investment Agency.
Moldova will be represented by at least 40 wineries, and today the first ten beneficiary wineries signed the Collaboration Agreement with partners in Romania and Bulgaria online, in the presence of the ambassadors of Romania and Bulgaria in the Republic of Moldova.
The total value of the project amounts to almost 700 thousand euros, money offered by the European Union.
