Vadim Ceban announced the date when the new natural gas tariff could be approved
Domestic consumers could pay 29 lei for a cubic meter of gas in October. The announcement was made by the president of the board of directors of the "Moldovagaz" company, Vadim Ceban, during the "Miezul Zilei" show on Moldova 1 TV. According to the official, "MoldovaGaz" is in consultation with the National Energy Regulatory Agency for the submission procedure of the new request.
"The price increased in September, respectively we are now in consultation with the National Energy Regulatory Agency for the procedure for submitting the new request, considering that we are operating in an exceptional situation. From October, when the cold period of the year begins, the formula that is provided in the contract changes and, respectively, we will also take into account the price from the month of October, I think that the request to ANRE will be after September 15-20. The address will be based on the calculations made in July, when we asked for a rate of 29 lei", said Vadim Ceban.
The president of "MoldovaGaz" said that, currently, the real tariff for natural gas should be around 33-34 lei, if the company's financial deviations were taken into account.
"We have calculated this request, considering that we cannot recover the accumulated debts in a short period of time. Obviously, if we had taken into account these deviations, then the price should be much higher, around 33-34 lei", added Ceban.
We remind you that the purchase price of natural gas supplied by Gazprom in September increased by more than 400 dollars and reached 1,882 dollars per thousand cubic meters, and under these conditions, "Moldovagaz" could ask for a new increase in tariffs for final consumers. Currently, household consumers pay 22.99 lei for a cubic meter of gas, including VAT.
