Moldovan wines, appreciated at a competition in France
Moldovan sparkling wines continue to shine at international competitions. Our country won 11 medals, including one gold and ten silver, in the 18th edition of the most important competition dedicated to sparkling wines "Effervescents du Monde", reports Moldova 1.
The result was recorded by the wines gathered under the country wine brand “Vinul Moldovei. A living legend". Thus, our country managed to overtake Italy and Spain, which obtained ten and nine distinctions, respectively.
The "Effervescents du Monde" competition took place on December 15-18 in the Burgundy wine region of France. The Republic of Moldova participated for the third consecutive year in the competition, and in 2019 the Moldovan sparkling wines were awarded a gold and eight silver medals, after reaching a record 12 medals in 2018.
