More than three million voters in the State Register

The total number of voters registered in the State Register of Voters, on January 3, 2022, is 3,283,288. Of these, 2,775,769 citizens with the right to vote are assigned to second-level administrative-territorial units, informs the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).

According to the quoted source, the difference includes persons who have the citizenship of the Republic of Moldova, but are not registered at home or residence, including those who emigrated authorized abroad (244,859 people) and citizens with voting rights registered in the administrative units. on the left bank of the Nistru, which are temporarily out of the sovereign control of the constitutional authorities of the Republic of Moldova (262,660).

According to the data presented by the CEC, most voters are in Chisinau, ATU Gagauzia and Balti.
