The second day of war in Ukraine: Zelensky: Ukraine was left alone in front of the Russians
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Friday that he will remain in Kiev as Ukrainian forces fight Russian invaders advancing on the Ukrainian capital in the strongest attack on a European state since World War II, Reuters reports. quoted by Free Europe.

Meanwhile, the foreign ministers of the member states of the European Union are meeting today in an extraordinary meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council (EAC) dedicated to the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, DPA reports, quoted by Agerpres.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 14:00 GMT, and is on the agenda to discuss new options for supporting Ukraine and how the European Union should deal with Russia in the future.
If the technical and legal checks are completed by noon, a new package of sanctions against Russia could even be officially approved. EU leaders agreed on Thursday on a new massive package of sanctions against Russia, targeting the energy, financial and transport sectors.
At least three other explosions were heard in Kiev early Friday, CNN reported, and occurred in the western part of the city, according to American journalists there.
