COVID-19 in Europe: Romania is asking for help from external partners to deal with the pandemic

Hospitals in Romania can no longer cope with the large number of patients with COVID-19 across the country, and romanian authorities have requested more medical equipment from external partners to deal with the pandemic, some patients have been taken to Hungary for treatment . Meanwhile, in France, the testing at Covid-19 is no longer free, from now on the French have to pay 45 euros to test at Covid-19, Moldova 1 reports.

Romania received 15 lung fans and eight oxygen concentrators this week from Denmark and bought 5,200 doses of monoclonal antibodies from Italy that were brought by military plane. Romania also needs doctors, and 20 specialists from our country will go across the Prut, to help Romania get over this difficult situation.

"Drugs from Germany, we are advanced in bringing monoclonal antibodies, 12,700 doses. There are some discussions with Austria, which has proposed some intensive care medicines, as well as France, and we have agreed to them. There are 200 oxygen concentrators from the World Health Organization, mentions Raed Arafat, Romanian secretary of state.

At the same time, the Romanian police are conducting raids all over the country. According to the new restrictions across the Prut, all those who are not vaccinated are not allowed after 20:00.

"They are beneficial for each individual citizen, but we have separated those with vaccine and those without vaccine."

Covid-19 tests are no longer free for those who are not vaccinated in France. Thus, people who are not immunized will have to pay from 22 to 45 euros to be tested. Only minors, people who have been certified by a doctor and those who have completed the full vaccination schedule will not have to pay for the test.

"In my opinion, it is a turning point, those who are not vaccinated may understand that they have to do it. Usually when people are told that they have to pay COVID-19 tests with their own money, this motivates them to get vaccinated ", states the pharmacist Jean-Marc Selve.

Meanwhile, about 40,000 COVID-19 tests were found in the UK to show the wrong result, although those tested had all the symptoms of the infection. And in Belgium, without COVID-19 certificates, people will not be able to attend mass events, gyms, restaurants, bars and theaters, museums and cinemas.
