Theresa May is to face a dismissal motion in the British Parliament
British Prime Minister Theresa May will face a vote of mistrust by lawmakers Wednesday in the context of dissatisfaction with Brexit's negotiated agreement with EU officials, BBC reports.
Conservative lawmakers will vote in the hours of 18:00-20:00 (20:00-22:00, Romanian time).
The procedure was triggered after 48 MPs filed letters of mistrust in the prime minister.
Theresa May, who took office as prime minister in 2016, shortly after the referendum on Britain's withdrawal from the European Union, has been harshly criticized for the deal negotiated with the EU Bloc.
It is not known how quickly the outcome of the vote will be announced, but May needs to get the majority of votes in favor of her to win. If she succeeds in gaining parliamentarians' confidence in Wednesday's vote, another motion against her could be filed in a year.
