Ursula von der Leyen: the EU is looking for solutions to provide additional support to the Republic of Moldova
The European Union (EU) is looking for solutions to provide additional support to the Republic of Moldova to alleviate the energy crisis our country is facing, reports Radio Moldova.
The statement was made by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, after a phone discussion with President Maia Sandu about the country's energy situation. For her part, the head of state thanked the EU for the support given to our country.
"I had a productive phone conversation with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. We discussed the critical energy situation of Moldova and thanked for all the support given by the EU in these difficult circumstances for us", Maia Sandu wrote on Twitter.
The head of the European executive also announced that she will pay a visit to the Republic of Moldova this week.
We remind you that the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, is to pay a working visit to our country.
