According to the deputy prime minister, tomorrow, November 8, our country will record a new electricity deficit of approximately 8.2%. In a message addressed to the citizens, the Minister of Infrastructure thanks the Moldovans who have saved energy and urges them to do so in the future.

"Thank you, dear citizens! Thanks to each of you, the whole of Moldova managed to reduce gas consumption by 57% and electricity by 14.25% in October (compared to October last year). I am grateful to all our citizens for participating in this national saving effort. (…) Together, we help Moldova remain free and defend our national interest", declared Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu.

According to the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, on Tuesday, November 8, the Republic of Moldova will record an electricity deficit of about 8.2%. According to the message posted by Andrei Spînu, our country continues to import over 80% of electricity from Romania.

"Termoelectrica S.A. the heating agent connection has started in Chisinau. We will have heat and more electricity produced in the country", Andrei Spînu also announced.

It should be mentioned that the right bank of the Nistru no longer receives electricity from the Cuciurgan plant since November 1, after the authorities from Chisinau and Tiraspol failed to reach a compromise to sign the electricity supply contract for November . In this context, the Chisinau authorities came with repeated appeals to the authorities and citizens to save energy resources.
