The electoral period for the new local elections on October 16 started

According to the data from the State Register of Voters, in total, on October 16, 6,005 voters are expected at the polls: in the village of Sălcuta, Căuşeni district – 3,717 people; in Ialpujeni commune, Cimişlia district - 1,278 people and in Branişte commune, Rîscani district - 1,010 people, informs the Central Electoral Commission.

The main actions during the electoral period consist in the establishment and organization of the activity of lower electoral bodies, the registration of initiative groups and candidates for the position of mayor, the establishment and organization of polling stations, the updating and publication of electoral lists, informing voters and training electoral officials, monitoring the elections and coverage in the media, the organization of voting and the totalization of the voting results.

According to the legal provisions, the electoral period will end with the confirmation of the election results and the validation of the mayoral mandates.
