Court of Auditors will carry out a public audit over the natural gas
Parliament voted in the final reading on the draft law on conducting external public audits over the natural gas. The audit will be performed by the Court of Auditors in order to obtain assurances that the financial activities and transactions are in full compliance with the applicable legal provisions.
The audit will be carried out on the natural gas companies to which the public service obligations have been imposed, on the related companies, as well as on other legal entities directly or indirectly affiliated to them in the part related to the natural gas field.
Regardless of the type of ownership and legal form of organization, the audited entities will be obliged to freely admit the presence of public auditors in their territory and to ensure direct and free access, in a timely manner, to digitized information, databases necessary for proper performance of audit mission.
The audit report will be submitted by November 30, 2022.
