ASP will publish the list of parties eligible to participate in local elections

Starting with August 1, the Public Services Agency (ASP) must publish the list of parties and social-political organizations that are eligible to participate in local elections. The election period will start on August 19 and the constituencies and the polling stations will be established. The election campaign will start after the registration of the candidates, that is, at the latest 30 days before the date of the elections. In about a week, the CEC will approve the regulation for the appointment and registration of candidates, reports Mesager.

According to the secretary of the commission, Maxim Lebedinschi, if Igor Dodon promulgates the new Electoral Code in a timely manner, the participants in the elections will no longer be required to present the certificate of integrity.

"If these rules come into force and are published by the President of the Republic until the completion of the registration procedure for candidates, then surely yes. The Central Election Commission is open to clarify the procedures for registration of candidates", said the Secretary of CEC Maxim Lebedinschi.
