Most candidates for the February elections possibly are not passing any filter of integrity, opinions

Most candidates for the February 2019 elections do not pass any filter of integrity. This is the conclusion of the Movement for Professionalism and Responsibility for People (PRO), which has made an analysis in that regard. Experts also made the criteria that the candidates should keep in mind, TV Moldova 1 reports.

"They must present at least one proof that in their lives or in their personal activity they have eliminated or fought at least one act of corruption, wherever they may be. They have to bring very relevant evidence about personal dignity. Their patrimony has written to other families, why not simply go out to declare their wealth," Gheorghe Costandachi, of the Pro Movement, said.

"The PRO movement analyzed potential candidates in the February 24, 2019 elections, and found that a good part of them were totally compromised people who simply did not have the moral right to run for MPs," says Igor Borfotina of the PRO Movement.

Members of the Movement consider it a priority to combat false news.

"Disallowing false media coverage - we all know this news that they appeared a few years ago at the 2016 election campaign, the presidential campaign. The echo of that 30,000 Syrians, even some voters believed in that false news," said Alexandru Gamanji, PRO Movement.

Candidates for the post of deputy will be monitored by the civic initiative "For a Clean Parliament 2019", composed of several representatives of civil society and investigative journalists. The platform was launched in July 2018.
