Protesters in front of the Presidency demanded the resignation of the current government and the organization of early parliamentary elections
Several supporters of the "Sor" Political Party organized a protest action today to express their dissatisfaction with the government. The representatives of the formation, whose leaders are in conflict with the law, marched through the streets of the center of the Capital and demanded the resignation of the current government, as well as the organization of early parliamentary elections. On the other hand, the government claims that these actions aim to destabilize the situation in the Republic of Moldova, reports Moldova 1.
At lunchtime, several buses with supporters of the "Sor" Political Party were parked at the entrance to the city. People admit that they would have come in an organized manner to the protest.
"They gave us an order and we took them to Chisinau. - How much did they pay? - Tonight we will calculate the price. - Approximately, usually, how much is paid on the spot? 200 lei per person".
"We alone gathered together and paid off. 400 lei for each person so we can move".
The protesters claim that they are dissatisfied with the recent price increases.
"Everyone gathered from the villages because gas has become more expensive, gasoline has become more expensive, diesel has become more expensive."
"Let them cheapen production".
On the other hand, government representatives claim that this protest aims to destabilize the situation in the Republic of Moldova.
"Protest actions were started in the Gagauz Autonomous Territorial Unit. Who are the organizers? If I am not mistaken, the Communist party and the Shor party are announced, which aim to destabilize the political situation in the Republic of Moldova, and this destabilization suits both Kremlin, as well as the fugitives who are afraid of progress, even slow and painful, in order to strengthen the justice system in Republic of Moldova", said the PAS deputy, Oazu Nantoi,
The Minister of Infrastructure, Andrei Spînu, also came with a reaction. The official stated on a social network: "It's a good sign that the thieves are organizing a protest. It's a good sign because they, the thieves, know that we will go all the way and the country will get rid of them. They stole the Republic of Moldova years in a row and now they are afraid. Some fled like cowards from the country".
According to the General Police Inspectorate, 6,500 people participated in the protest action, and those who tried to set up tents on the road side were transferred to Parliament Square. Law enforcement officers also documented several incidents.
