Natalia Gavriliţa: We are in the process of fulfilling the economic recovery plan

Justice reform to strengthen our institutions, unblock external financing and a new economic program from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are some of the priority topics discussed by Prime Minister Natalia Gavriliţa and the deputy director of the Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Negotiations on enlargement within the European Commission, Katarina Mathernova, reports Radio Moldova News.

During a press conference, the Prime Minister mentioned that our country will continue the fruitful dialogue with external partners on various dimensions, for the benefit of the citizens.

"Our agenda is ambitious and bold, we are fully committed to implementing all necessary measures to modernize our country according to European best practices. We have discussed and talked about the European Union's economic recovery plan and we are in the process of fulfilling that plan. We managed to unblock external financing and negotiated with the IMF a new economic program that will provide $574 million in funding in the coming years. So far, within the economic recovery program, we have accessed several funds, including 36.4 million euros in the previously existing programs for police reform and Covid-19 resilience," said Natalia Gavriliţa.

At the same time, the Prime Minister added that the Republic of Moldova is in the process of finalizing all the procedures for accessing the 60 million euro program for managing the gas crisis.
