PDM calls for parliamentary hearings on the situation on the border with Ukraine
The leader of the Democratic Party (PDM) Pavel Filip is calling for parliamentary hearings on the situation on the border with Ukraine. Pavel Filip said in the show "Place of Dialogue" that, along with the movements undertaken by the Russian Federation in Ukraine, the national security of the Republic of Moldova is also threatened, Radio Moldova reports.
"We requested to have a closed meeting at the Standing Bureau to report on the situation. Moreover, this report will be not to inform us, the members of the Standing Bureau, but to understand what is happening in the area. There is peace in the Republic of Moldova, we understood that we are on our own plan, God forbid an armed conflict, which, why not, could reach the Transnistrian region ", said Pavel Filip.
Lately, more and more Russian troops were noticed not only on the eastern border of Ukraine, but also further south, in the Transnistrian region, which borders it. Satellite images published by the Nexta Telegram channel, based in Poland, show a column of armored vehicles in the perimeter of the military airport in Tiraspol, reports deschide.md. According to the Ukrainian press, the Russian Federation has concentrated several battalion tactical groups along Ukraine's border and in the temporarily occupied territories, which poses threats to the military security of the neighboring state.
