Renato Usatâi returns to Moldova
Former mayor of Balti, Renato Usatâi, announces that he returns to Moldova to prove his innocence. In a live on Facebook, Usatâi says he will arrive at the border crossing point - Sculeni at 13:00 tomorrow, Mesager reports.
In October 2016, Usatîi was announced as wanted internationally. Usatii has been accused of ordering the killing of Gorbuntsov in March 2012, the year after Gorbuntsov’s 80% stake in a small Moldovan bank, Universalbank, had been the target of an alleged raider attack. Gorbuntsov, who had been accused of money-laundering in Russia, was shot and badly wounded in London.
