The President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, pays a visit to the Republic of Moldova
The Republic of Moldova is developing a political dialogue with EU Member States. Polish President Andrzej Duda pays a visit to Chisinau, Moldova 1 reports.
The Polish official will meet with the head of state, Maia Sandu. After the meeting, the two presidents will hold a joint press conference, which will begin at 6:50 p.m. The statements will be broadcast live on Moldova 1 and on the public station Radio Moldova.
The visit of the Polish president is on the list of several European officials who have visited the Republic of Moldova, in the context of the situation in the region and the refugee crisis. The President of Switzerland, Ignazio Cassis, will also come to our country tomorrow.
Andrzej Sebastian Duda has been President of the Republic of Poland since 2015.
From 2006 to 2007, he was a member of the Kaczynski government as Deputy Minister of Justice. He was elected to the European Parliament in 2014.
TRM.MD recalls that the first official visit of the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, took place on August 26, 2021. Then, the leader of Warsaw stated that Poland would support the Republic of Moldova on the path of reforms and help it to join the European Union.
