A children's center was opened in Soroca, with the support of the EU

A center for children and young people was opened in Soroca with the support of the European Union. They get training and personal development. The center, with the status of a social enterprise, was launched within a project of the East European Foundation, financed by the European Union and co-financed by Sweden, reports Moldova 1.

The ARA center in Soroca provides training services for preschoolers. Activities emphasize communication, empathy, critical thinking, collaboration and problem-solving skills. The institution is attended by children aged between 5 and 15 from the municipality of Soroca and from the localities of the district.

"I came here to make friends, play and learn some new things"

"I like it here because it is interesting and fun and I will develop in several areas."

"I'm glad that such centers are open because it gives them the opportunity to develop", declared Mariana Lupaşcu.

The social enterprise also offers support to young mothers who have not been employed. At the same time, within the institution, several children and young people from socially vulnerable families will attend free of charge various training activities and courses that promote personal development.

"It is a more special center because we, the team, put our heart into developing a spectrum of services", says the director of the "Anima" Association, Nona Mihalcean.

The ARA Center was opened within the project entitled "Civil society contributes to the sustainable and inclusive economic development of the country". The institution was established thanks to a grant of 35 thousand euros offered by the European Union and the government of Sweden.
