Modern park in Sărata Nouă, with the support of the locals

By involvement, change is made. This is the opinion of the inhabitants of Sărata Nouă commune, from Leova district, who put their shoulder to the arrangement of a modern park in the locality. People believe that the recreational area will contribute to the modernization and development of the commune. The park, which will be inaugurated by the end of the year, is arranged with the support of the natives of the diaspora, but also of the central and local authorities, reports Moldova 1.

Several wooden benches will be installed, and a playground and six gazebos will be set up near the alley. In the area, a stage will be located, where the folk ensembles will be able to climb, but also the inhabitants during some open-air concerts.

Vlada Hasan is a fourth grade student and wants a modern park in the village, where all people have access. The child is eager to plant trees and flowers in the park.

In total, more than 630 meters of pavement will be paved, 28 electric pillars will be installed, and later the sports field will be modernized.

"People are really donating, because they want the park to be renovated. This is a recreation and rest area, the only one in our locality, and I think that not all communes have such a space next to a beautiful pond, with picturesque places," said Tatiana Gorgos, mayor.

"Even though it is the pandemic period, the children got involved in cleaning work, we made a few flashmobs where we collected the papers, the plastic things and stored them, after which they were taken to the landfill," specified Iulia Bortnic, project manager.

The modernization works take place within the "Diaspora Home Succeeds" Program and are financed by the foreigners abroad, the Government of the Republic of Moldova, the local authorities, but also several local entrepreneurs. More than 1,500 people live in the commune of Sărata Nouă in Leova.
