Schools in Taraclia district will be equipped with modern information technologies

The Republic of Bulgaria offers 140 thousand euro to the Republic of Moldova for procurement of modern IT equipment for schools in Taraclia district. The Financial Assistance Agreement was signed yesterday by Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Iurie Leanca and the Business Chairman of the Bulgaria Embassy at Chisinau, Kliment Pramov.

The modernization of the informatics cabinets for the students from 19 gymnasiums / lyceums in Taraclia district will significantly contribute to raising the quality of the educational process at European standards, said  the Moldovan deputy prime minister. He discussed the issue with the Bulgarian officials during the visit to Sofia from 4-5 April this year, reads a press release issued by the Government.

During the event, the Deputy Prime Minister reiterated the need to develop new concrete projects for the benefit of citizens, such as enhancing the exchange of teachers and pupils, under relevant European practices, as well as the twinning of the settlements of the two states.

In turn,  Business Chairman of the Bulgaria Embassy at Chisinau, Kliment Pramov stressed that his country is a loyal friend of the Moldova.

According to the provisions, the Agreement enters into force from the date of signing, and the envisaged activities will be implemented within one year. The non-refundable grant amounting to 140 thousand euros will be disbursed in two installments, the procedure for the acquisition of modern  technologies will be carried out by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.
