Rescue and Firefighting Caravan, launched
22 fire-fighting vehicles, as well all-wheel-drive vehicles of the Terra Valahia Offroad Sports Club started yesterday from Buiucani, Chisinau and settled in the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN). Thus, dozens of children with parents watched a spectacular show, as the cars were decorated with lights.
The small children participated in contests and firefighters shared presents to children.
Later, the Rescue and Firefighting Caravan arrived at the Oncology Institute in Chisinau, where the head of the General Inspectorate for Emergencies Mihail Harabagiu, together with the entrepreneur Sergiu Tafratov and the members of the Terra Valahia Sports Club, shared gifts to children in hospital wards, and the latter performed carols.
On December 25, the Firemen and Firefighters’ Caravan will arrive in Anenii Noi, Causeni, Straseni and Nisporeni districts, where IGSU employees will come up with risk-prevention messages in the context of the National Campaign "A Protected House, a Life Saved". The families will benefit from smoke detectors that will prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
According to IGSU, the Rescue and Firefighting Caravan is at its third edition and aims to raise awareness of risk prevention.
