About 11,000 people received unemployment benefits during the state of emergency
Approximately 11 thousand beneficiaries, whose right to unemployment benefit amounting to 2,775 lei per month for the period of emergency was established, have already received their money. 2,473 people with unemployment status also benefited from the aid. In this sense, the National Social Insurance House transferred 23 million lei. The necessary amounts are financed from the state budget, reports Moldova 1.
Applications are sent to the e-mail address of the territorial subdivisions of the National Employment Agency, located near the beneficiary's place of residence or by post. Those who want to benefit from support, submit a request in this regard and the statement on their own responsibility.
"The territorial subdivisions registered about 8,900 people. For comparison, in the same period last year, 243 people were registered as unemployed. Most of the registered unemployed were in the municipalities of Chisinau, Balti, Ocnita and Drochia," said the head of the Monitoring Service of ANOFM, Marcela Ganea.
The money is transferred through banking institutions or the Post Office of Moldova.
"Unemployment benefit is paid monthly to the beneficiaries to whom this benefit was established in the previous month. The benefit can be received through banking institutions, ie by bank card, or, people who do not have a bank card will pick up unemployment benefits at any post office of the State Enterprise Posta Moldovei," said CNAS Vice President Tatiana Popa.
Since the beginning of the year, 33,000 people have lost their jobs. In April alone, the list was completed by another nine thousand people.
