Visual arts, artistic interventions and creative workshops at the "Au Gust" festival in Durleşti
Traditionally, dedicated to agricultural products, the festival with the generic name "Au Gust" set out to broaden its horizons. This year's edition had in its program exhibitions of artisanal products, participatory manufacturing workshops, but also seasonal fruits and vegetables. All Associations that promote a healthy way of life and protecting the environment were present here, reports Moldova 1.
The Square of the House of Culture in Durleşti brought together dozens of local producers. Each of them had only one mission: to impress the buyer with natural products.
"We are coming to the fair for the third year already with the same production, with four types of honey. It is a help for local producers. We have smaller casseroles for tastings";
"We have more lots, now I have four. We work every day and the result is visible";
Visitors eager for the authentic taste mention that supporting local producers is a must during this period.
"Now is the time when our products are practically non-existent, everything is imported and you are happy when you see something handmade or grown here, for example apples";
"We managed to catch a glimpse of the artisans' works and bought a pair of earrings. It seems to me a very good opportunity for both producers and citizens to get to know local artisans", said the visitors of the festival.
"The "Au Gust" festival initially started from the promotion of early grape producers who are less promoted. In the beginning, the festival had the name "Festival of Early Grapes". A fusion between agriculture and culture", said organiser Parascovia Sava.
The "Au Gust" festival is in its fifth edition.
