Christmas Tree for Christmas Fair arrived in Chisinau
The Christmas Tree brought from the Bukovina Mountains, arrived in Chisinau on Saturday. The tree has a height of about 20 meters and will be decorated with over 46 thousand LED lights.
The Christmas tree was transported on Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Boulevard, accompanied by a group consisting of orchestra, Santa Claus and horsemen. Thus, for the first time, the ceremony of bringing the Christmas Tree was held like in the big European cities.
"This means that the city of Chisinau is aligned with the European capitals. I am pleased that for the second consecutive year the Christmas tree is offered with great generosity by our friends and colleagues from Romania. This is another symbol that shows the close connection between Moldova and Romania", said the prime minister.
Pavel Filip mentioned that we need more positivism, more beautiful events, we need people to rest and enjoy "Christmas at home".
The Christmas Fair will be inaugurated on December 15th. The Government has been organizing this event for the second consecutive year.
