"Let's go to school" campaign reached the village of Ciuciuleni, Hânceşti district

Even a backpack with school supplies is sometimes too expensive for some families in Moldova, not to mention school uniforms and clothes that must be bought every year. In this sense, over 300 socially vulnerable families from the villages received school supplies and school bags, and on Thursday the gifts also reached the village of Ciuciuleni, Hânceşti district. The gifts were carefully prepared during the "Let's go to school" campaign, initiated by the association "The Moldova Project".

Petru Osaci has four children and two of them attend school. The man says that although he has a job, his salary is very low and he barely managed to buy the clothes needed for school, not the school supplies.

"It is a large amount, for four children it is very difficult, only I work. Salaries are very low. For us, the prices are very high ", says Petru Osaci.

 Tatiana has three children, one of whom is third grade. Because the family's only income is the husband's salary, the woman says she can barely afford them.

"They are really very welcome because there are three children, only my husband works, I stay at home with these little ones. The supplies are expensive because I looked at the shops ", says the woman.

The happiest were the children.

"I took the school supplies. Pen, scissors, glue. I love to learn, to draw, to write and my favourite subject is physical education”;

This year, within the "Let's go to school" campaign, over 300 children will benefit from school supplies, school bags, hygiene products and sweets. In Ciuciuleni locality, Hânceşti district, the beneficiaries were approximately 25 children from socially vulnerable families.

"We work with these families throughout the year, together with the social assistance departments and the town halls in the localities. We have over 300 children who will receive school bags along with school supplies. We managed to get some shoes for some of them ", says Victoria Morozov, the president of the association" The Moldova Project ".

The "Let's go to school" campaign was carried out by "The Moldova Project", and the Italian diaspora, local companies, contributed to the school preparation of the 300 children, and some funds were collected during charity events.
