Quarantine in Knjazevca commune, Leova district
The Knjazevca village, the district of Leova, is quarantined. This after a swine fever outbreak was detected in a peasant farm. At least 30 pigs were slaughtered and incinerated.
According to ANSA representatives, six animals died, and after the confirmation of the laboratory results the others were slaughtered and the area was disinfected.
This is the second case of swine fever in 2020, after more than 50 wild boars infected with the same virus were found died in the "Pădurea Domnească" nature reserve in mid-January.
