Magic of winter holidays, in the courtyard of a block of apartments in Chisinau
The tenants of a block on Ismail str. in Chisinau have been decorating the Christmas Tree for several years in a row. This year, the neighbors collected money and bought an artificial tree, which they adorned with toys, many of which are hand-made, Mesager reports.
For over 20 years, the tenants of the block have been installing a Christmas Tree in the yard, they decorate it and spend time near the Christmas Tree.
"We used to install a natural tree, and then we threw it away. This year, we bought an artificial tree. We want to be united and to involve a lot of people”, said the manager of the block Valentina Turcan.
The Christmas tree has been adorned with decorations created by Ala Cerneavschi. The woman says she was inspired by the traditions of Italy and Germany, where she has worked for many years.
"They're handmade; I have worked for several nights to do them. I made decorations in Italy and I donated to the church", said Ala Cerneavschi.
People drank the traditional izvar (hot wine) at the inauguration of the fir tree.
"We prepared izvar in order not to get cold or sick. To prepare it we need wine, sugar or honey, pepper and then we boil it. I treated everyone to izvar", said Maria Nazarco, tenant.
