Moldova is more attractive to foreigners

Moldova becomes more attractive to foreigners. According to the Migration and Asylum Bureau, last year, over four thousand residence permits were requested, which is by 13 percent more against 2017. Most often they come to work, for studies, for business or for family reunification, Radio Moldova reports.

Last year, more than 21,000 foreign citizens requested residence permits. Most of them, 30 percent, come from Turkey. The ranking is followed by Romanians, Ukrainians and Azerbaijani people. The number of foreign investors interested in developing a business in Moldova increased.

The maximum length of stay is one year for the foreigners who choose to work, after which they can extend the contract with the employer.
