New provisions for drivers, implemented starting with today
Drivers who have caused average health injuries will not be subjected to criminal liability if they manage to reach an agreement with the person who has suffered, Radio Moldova reports with reference to bizlaw.md.
Consequently, the reconciliation of the parties can also be applied if the failure to comply with the rules on the safety of the movement or use of means of transport by the person in charge of the means of transport has caused an average damage to body or health.
So far, this violation was punishable by a fine of up to 32,500 lei, unpaid community service, or imprisonment for up to three years with or without the deprivation of the right to drive means of transport for a term up to two years.
