Pensions to be indexed starting with March 1
Pensions could be indexed this year from March 1 and not from April 1.This was announced by the vice-president of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Lilian Carp, in a show for a private TV channel, Radio Moldova reports.
"High prices are dictated by international stock prices. What the government can do is come up with compensation that is a few billion. Also, we will come with compensation for pensions not on April 1st, but March 1st, depending on inflation by almost 20%. At least we are talking about these things and these days we will have a decision ", mentioned Lilian Carp.
Earlier, PAS MP Dan Perciun said that, based on the new pension indexation formula, some types of pensions would be indexed by about 20%. According to him, with the indexation of pensions, the allowances will be increased as well.
