The Republic of Moldova moves to winter time
The Republic of Moldova will switch to winter time tonight. Thus, on Sunday, at 03:00, the clocks will move one hour back, and this day will be the longest of the year, Radio Moldova Actualitati reports.
The Republic of Moldova has resorted to switching to winter time since 1979, in order to make optimal use of natural light in order to reduce artificial lighting.
The transition from summer to winter takes place in 70 countries with respect to the time zone difference.
