Roaming remains free between European Union countries until 2032

Roaming will be free in the European Union (EU) until 2032. That's after the European Parliament and EU member states reached an agreement, reports Moldova 1.

Thus, citizens cannot be charged extra for calls made or data used when traveling within the EU. The new regulation will provide better access to emergency communications, and the price per gigabyte for networking abroad will be two euros and will gradually fall to one euro in 2027.

Free roaming was introduced in the EU in 2017.
