Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health: Moldova will not reach the pessimistic scenario

The Republic of Moldova will not reach the pessimistic scenario issued by the World Health Organization regarding the infection of 30,000 people. The confirmation comes from the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, Constantin Rîmeş. Although doctors are exhausted, the official said that the hospital system has the necessary reserves for the treatment of patients infected with COVID-19, Moldova 1 reports.

"At the moment, the capacity of both the hospital and the health system can cope. Even if we talk about the number of beds - we have two thousand, but we can intervene with 1,000 and we can include other hospitals that were not directly included in the treatment of COVID-19. The doctors are tired, but they come to the population with an urge to respect the precautionary measures, to avoid the crowds so as not to get sick," said Constantin Rîmeş.
