Dan Olaru and Alexandra Mîrca will carry the flag of the Republic of Moldova at the Olympic Games
Athletes Dan Olaru and Alexandra Mîrca will carry the flag of the Republic of Moldova at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Both athletes said they were proud and honored to carry the Moldovan flag at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, according to the National Olympic and Sports Committee.
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, solemnly handed Moldova's flag to our athletes, wishing them much success in the fierce competition that awaits them.
Dan Olaru will register the second participation of the Olympic Games. At the London 2012 Olympic Games he was the flag bearer of the Republic of Moldova and was the youngest member of the Olympic Team.
Alexandra Mîrca marked her Olympic debut at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. In 2019 Alexandra and Dan win the silver medal at the World Cup in Berlin.
Dan Olaru and Alexandra Mîrca highly appreciate being a member of the Olympic Team of the Republic of Moldova and consider it a wonderful opportunity, which has a great impact on their sporting experience.
